About Good Samaritan Technologies Director Kerry Hassler
Kerry
Hassler is a volunteer Global Technology Consultant for missionaries and
churches located around the world. After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana with Bachelor and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering, he previously worked as a system engineer,
software developer, international project manager, and global R&D
technical consultant for AT&T Bell Labs, Lucent Labs, and Avaya Labs
for a total of 31 years. Over the past 15 years, he was a major contributor
to developing the Avaya Call Center PBX product that is the leading product
world-wide for providing inbound/outbound Call Center business solutions.
Kerry is a co-holder of two Avaya-owned Call Center U.S. patents with
another patent pending.
As of 1 February, 2007, Kerry now works full-time to provide high-tech
technology consulting support to missionaries and churches from his Louisville,
Colorado home-office, while also traveling to project locations around
the world for on-site visits if needed. He continues to be a member of
the Missions and Outreach Team of First Baptist Church of Boulder, Colorado.
The most recent FBC/Boulder mission trips he's coordinated and led have
been to --
- Bulgaria in June,
2005 to work on facility improvements to a Plevin orphanage and Dobrich
day-care center, with on-site coordination provided by Sofia IM-ABC
missionaries Tom and Terry Myers
- Tecate, Mexico
in March, 2006, to complete interior finishing of a dental-care facility
for the Rancho San Juan Bosco boys' home, with on-site project coordination
provided by Partners in Action project-leader Jeremy Francis
- Yokohama, Japan
in August 2007 to share fellowship, Bible study, and fun with FBC/Boulder's
Kanto Gakuin sister-church located on the campus of Kanto Gakuin University.
In April, 2007, Kerry became a member of the American Baptist Churches-Rocky Mountain Region Mission Team. He organized and led a ABC-RM international mission trip to Thailand from February 6-19, 2008 (see trip summary at -- http://abcrmmissionexperiences.blogspot.com), and is also organizing a June 19-30, 2008 ABC-RM Mission Trip to Bulgaria.
On April 30, 2007, Kerry founded the "Good Samaritan Technologies"
Colorado-based non-profit corporation to allow donations to be made in
support of his activities as a Global Technology Consultant for missionaries
